Supermarket sales rose 9% in October

Retail sales shot up by 6.2% in October, compared with the same month last year year, says national statistics office CBS.


An increase in the volume of goods sold accounted for five percentage points of the rise.
Supermarkets booked the fastest growth, over 9%, largely due to rising food prices. Non-food sales rose 5%.
