Student dies after school stabbing

A 16-year-old boy at a technical school in Amsterdam has died after after being stabbed, reportedly in the neck, by a fellow student. A 14-year-old boy has been arrested.


According to the Telegraaf, a fight broke out between the two youths outside the college on Vlaardingenlaan at lunchtime. A trauma helicopter took the injured boy to hospital where he later died.
The area was been cordoned off by police who investigating the events leading to the stabbing. Classes were suspended on Thursday afternoon.
According to some media reports the two boys had been arguing about a pen.
