Young reporter arrested for insulting queen

A 17-year old journalist and a cameraman from internet magazine Spunk were arrested on Dam square in Amsterdam on Tuesday evening, on charges of insulting queen Beatrix.

The girl was wearing a t-shirt with the slogan ‘Beatrix is a whore’. She was carrying a second shirt with the slogan ‘all Muslims are goat f******s’ – a phrase associated with the murdered film producer Theo van Gogh.
The duo were asking passersby which text they found more insulting. ‘Someone was found guilty of lèse majesté on Monday and we wanted to expose it,’ said Spunk editor in chief Sanne Groot Koerkamp.
The duo were cautioned and the t-shirts confiscated.
On Monday, the courts fined a 47-year-old man €400 for insulting the queen by calling her a whore and making sexual comments.
