Summer was warm, wet and dull

The summer was warm, very wet and had less sunshine than normal, weather bureau KNMI said on Friday. With an average temperature of 17.2 degrees, it was over half a degree warmer than normal. Over 30cm of rain fell, 10cm more than usual.
