The cabinet this afternoon presents its long-awaited plan of action for the coming years, drawn up on the basis of the coalition agreement.

Ministers have an extra €7bn to spend on new policy measures and €3bn for tax cuts. In total, some 70 new initiatives are set to be unveiled.
Among the plans already leaked is an extra €441m for youth social work, more spending on forensic scientists and the recruitment of 500 new beat police officers.
On Wednesday night it emerged that transport minister Camiel Eurlings intends to introduce road pricing – a tax on every kilometre motorists drive – in stages.
Eurlings is said to have his doubts about the technology used to determine how far cars drive. Road pricing – also known as pay-per-drive – is set to be introduced by 2012.
