Organ donor show condemned by cabinet
Tuesday 29 May 2007
The organ donor show due to be broadcast by public station BNN on Friday has been roundly condemned by the cabinet and MPs, reports the Volkskrant on Tuesday. However, ministers Ronald Plasterk (media) and Ab Klink (health) will not ban the programme.
Despite the condemnation, BNN announced at the weekend that the show will go ahead. In it, the terminally ill 37-year-old Lisa will decide which of three kidney patients will receive her kidney. The public can help her decide by sending sms messages.
BNN says the aim of the show is to raise awareness of the shortage of organ donors.

What next ?? Are they gonna auction off the heart, lungs, live, and corneas???
This is something I could expect from a third world country but not in this "civilized" country.
