Labour backs MP's 'Moroccan job'
Wednesday 07 March 2007
The Labour party sees no problem with its MP Khadija Arib continuing her work for a Moroccan human right's committee on migration policy, the Volkskrant reports on Wednesday. Right-wingers have called on Arib to either stop or step down.
'I have absolutely no reason to doubt her loyalty and integrity,' said party chairman Michiel van Hulten. Arib said she has followed the discussion with astonishment. 'I have continually said that I am doing nothing secret or suspicious,' she told the paper.
