Wilders backs MP accused of wife beating
Tuesday 30 January 2007
Geert Wilders, leader of the anti-immigration party PVV, has given his full backing to PVV MP Dion Graus who was accused of wife beating and financial irregularities last month.
He said many of the charges are now known to be false. Wilders said he accepts Graus's word that he had not beaten up his ex-wife. He pointed out too that she had not appealed against the police decision not to prosecute.
