Supermarket group Sperwer, which owns the Plus and Spar chains, expects turnover to grow between 20% and 25% this year, director Jaap Lagerweij told news agency Betten. Sales rose almost 11% in 2006.

The increase is largely due to the addition of dozens of new stores, taken over from the Laurus group. Some 60 Edah supermarkets are to be converted to Plus stores this year.
