EC go ahead for Euronext NYSE merger

The European Commission has given the definite green light to the merger between Euronext and the New York Stock Exchange. The merger is set to completed by the end of March. The NYSE bid €7.5bn for Euronext in a long-running takeover battle with Deutsche Börse.
