Difficult pupils miss out on school

Thousands of children are missing out on schooling because they are waiting for a place in special education, the AD reports today. The education ministry wants ordinary schools to take in problem pupils while they are on waiting lists for specialist institutions.

The paper said some 26,500 pupils now qualified for extra help with their education, over three times the 2005 figure.
