Bankruptcy restarts often successful
Wednesday 10 January 2007
Seven out of the 10 biggest bankruptcies in the Netherlands last year resulted in a successful restart, the Volkskrant reports this morning. The paper said 1,800 out of the 2,800 jobs which were under threat following the bankruptcies were saved.
For example, the relaunch of mushroom grower Heveco led to 625 out of 650 jobs being saved, the paper reported. And 540 of the 592 Dutch jobs under threat when LG Philips Displays shut down were secured after a restart.
