Pathologists are to set up a central register to cover all childhood deaths in an effort to find out how many children in Holland die of unnatural causes

. Statisticians assume between 50 and 80 children are murdered by their parents every year but doctors say the figures are not accurate because there is no central registry and suspicious deaths are sometimes not classed as such.
