A man has died and two others have been seriously wounded in a shooting at a house in Rotterdam.

Police were called out to a house on the corner of Gijsingstraat and Van Duylstraat after neighbours heard several shots at around 7pm on Sunday.

The body of a 31-year-old man from Rotterdam was found inside the house, but police could not say if the shooting took place inside or outside.

Two 27-year-old men, one from Rotterdam and one from Vlaardingen, were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries. They were arrested for their ‘possible connection with the shooting,’ a police spokesman said.

The shooter or shooters had fled the scene by the time police arrived. Witnesses are asked to call police on 0900 8844.
