Feyenoord and PSV will continue in the Europa League after the winter break and AZ of Alkmaar will move into the next stage of the third tier Conference League after Thursday night’s European football action.

The Netherlands will have three clubs in the Europa League after the winter break, given Ajax has moved down from the Champions League. The draw for the next stages takes place on Monday.

The wins also strengthened the Netherland’s coefficient in the key Uefa rankings, and extended their lead over Portugal. The Netherlands is currently in sixth place in the rankings and if the lead is maintained, two Dutch clubs would automatically qualify for the Champions League next season.
