The Dutch public health institute RIVM has registered a further three coronavirus deaths, taking the official total to 6,081, the agency said in its Friday update. On Thursday four deaths were reported.

In addition, 11 more people have been taken to hospital and 116 more people have been diagnosed with the virus. All the new hospital cases date from earlier in the month, and so far no admissions have been recorded on four days since June 13.

Since mass testing was introduced at the beginning of this month, local health boards have carried out 148,476 tests on people showing even mild symptoms. Over the past for days, testing has gone up to some 10,500 a day, but is still well below capacity.
