Polare book shop group applies for creditor protection

The Polare book shop chain has applied for court protection from creditors, just over a week after closing all its stores to work on a ‘strategic reorientation’.

Polare has 20 shops in the Netherlands and eight in Belgium. A number of the shops were previously owned by the Selexyz group which went bankrupt in 2012.
