Trade union federation to cut 187 jobs over four years

The biggest Dutch trade union federation is reducing its workforce by 187 jobs over four years as part of an internal reorganisation.

The job losses follow a decision to reduce the number of FNV-affiliated unions by merging six of them into a single body. This means the federation needs fewer IT and support staff.

In total the FNV has a workforce of some 2,100.
