ING finalises sale of South Korean insurance arm

Financial services group ING said on Tuesday it has completed the sale of its South Korean insurance arm ING Life Korea to private equity firm MBK.

The deal is worth around €1.3bn. However, the transaction resulted in a €1bn after-tax loss, of which most was accounted for in its 2013 third-quarter results, ING said in statement.
