Petrochemicals firm Sabic to cut 420 Dutch jobs

Saudi petrochemicals company Sabic is cutting 420 of its 3,320 jobs in the Netherlands as part of a European-wide reorganisation.

Most jobs will go in Limburg but all Sabic’s Dutch operations will be affected. The company says the reorganisation is needed to cope with growing competition.

Last year, Sabic said it is to invest an additional €135m in its petrochemicals plant in Geleen, Limburg.
