Train users group Rover has made a formal complaint to the competition authority NMa about the sharp increase in fairs on the Rotterdam to Antwerp route from next month.

From December 9, passengers will only be able to travel directly between the two cities using the hi-speed train Fyra. That means a sharp hike in fairs of at least 30%.
Discount cards will also no longer be valid on the trains.
Rover accuses Dutch Rail (NS) of abusing its monopoly position. In some cases, people will have to pay double the current price of a ticket, Rover says.
