Fifty hurt in public transport crashes in The Hague and Eindhoven

Around 50 people were injured on Tuesday morning in two separate accidents involving public transport vehicles.


In The Hague, a tram ran into the back of another tram close to the railway station Hollands Spoor. Between 30 and 35 people were injured although as yet there are no details of how serious the injuries are, The Hague public transport company HTM reported.
The accident took place at the crossroads of Jacob Catsstraat and the Parallelweg. The police are investigating the cause of the crash.
Eindhoven
In Eindhoven, 19 passengers were injured, one seriously, when a bus and a lorry collided on the Torenallee. Four people were taken to hospital, according to the Eindhovens Dagblad.
What caused the accident is not yet know, the police report.
