A15 extension to be toll road
The A15 motorway is to be extended from Bemmel to the A12, transport minister Melanie Schultz van Haegen announced on Wednesday. The extension will free up traffic between Rotterdam port and Germany.
The extension, including a bridge across the Pannerdensch canal, will cost €1bn. Of this, the state will pay €385m and local councils €372.5m. The rest will be raised in toll charges.
