FC Volendam is heading back to the first division after one season in the premier league, following a 2-2 draw against De Graafschap on Sunday.

Roda JC’s surprise 3-2 victory over Feyenoord meant Volendam ended the season in 18th place. Roda and De Graafschap, in 16th and 17th place, will take part in the play-offs for a premier division place next season.
Premier league winners AZ of Alkmaar beat Heerenveen 3-1. AZ’s Mounir El Hamdaoui scored his 23rd goal of the season to end as top scorer.
Ajax’s Luis Suarez, sent off during the Amsterdammers’ 1-0 win over FC Twente, was second with 22 goals. Ajax ends the season in third place, just one point behind Twente.
