Warmest Easter in 25 years

Easter Sunday was the warmest Easter since 1984, the KNMI weather bureau says.

In de Bilt near Utrecht where the KNMI is based, the temperature reached 18.4 Celsius. But it was warmer at around 22 Celsius in the east of the country. In 1984, the temperature reached 22.4 degrees.
Last year, much of the country was covered with snow, making it the coldest Easter in 40 years.
The KNMI says the warm weather is set to continue for the next few days, although there will be rain later in the week.
