Seven years after the introduction of the euro, some 72% of the Dutch still sometimes calculate prices in guilders, according to a poll of 1,000 people by research bureau Synovate.

Women are more likely than men to convert euro prices into guilders, news agency ANP quoted the research as saying.
And even though almost everyone is happy with a currency which can be used throughout Europe, one in four is still nostalgic about guilders. And nearly 30% say they find it hard to tell the different euro coins apart.
