Websites to find best interest rates

Dutch savers will soon be able to find the highest interest rates for their money through two online savings auctions, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Tuesday.

Savers tell the sites how much money they want to save and for how long and the auction sites then invite banks to offer their best interest rate.
Spaarbod, which launched on Saturday, says it has already carried out 900 auctions for €37m in savings. It works with nine banks, including Rabobank, ING and Aegon, marketing manager Arjo van Vueren tells the paper. Spaarbod earns its money from commission.
The other firm, Bank2You, will launch in mid March.
