Teenage girls get anti-cancer vaccination

Health officials today began giving tens of thousands of girls aged 13 to 16 an injection to protect them against some types of cervical cancer.


Every year, 200 women in the Netherlands die of cervical cancer and officials hope the vaccination programme will reduce deaths by around 100.
