Police shoot man dead in Veenendaal

Police shot dead an unidentified man in the town of Veenendaal near Utrecht on Wednesday night, NOS tv reports.


The incident happened after a call was made to the police from a private house at around 7.30pm in the evening.
The public prosecution department says that police were then forced to use their weapons during an incident. An investigation into the shooting has begun, NOS says.
No further details have been released so far.
