Employers have added their voice to the growing demand for the cabinet to make a decision on what action needs to be taken to tackle the recession.

Among measures proposed by the employers is a month’s postponement for companies to pay value-added-tax (btw)
The employers organisation NCW-VNO says this could save businesses up to €4bn in the short term.
‘We are not asking for billions in subsidies. If firms can pay value added tax later, there is no structural pressure on government finances,’ Bernard Wientjes, head of the employers’ organisation NCW-VNO, is quoted as saying in the Volkskrant on Monday.
Like the trade unions, employers are frustrated that the coalitions parties were unable to present a rescue package on Friday as they had earlier promised. Talks continued on Monday.
‘We cannot wait any longer. Maybe it’s time to separate the issues and first take steps that will not cost the treasury any money,’ Wientjes tells the paper.
