Supermarket group Laurus turns corner

Supermarket group Laurus, which owns the Super de Boer chain, booked net profit of €3m over the first six months of this year, compared with a loss of €6m in the previous year.


Operating profit reached €10m, compared with €2m in the year-earlier period. Chairman Jan Brouwer said the results showed that all the efforts made to restructure the company were ‘beginning to bear fruit’.
