Lorry driver charged with animal abuse
German police have charged a Dutch lorry driver with animal abuse and overloading his vehicle after 127 pigs were found crammed into his vehicle.
The truck was carrying pigs from the Netherlands to an abattoir in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. Other road users alerted the police after spotting blood leaking from the back.
