Good catering vital to film-making

A commitment to good catering and an acknowledgement that acting is more important than technique are part of a 10-point film-making manifesto drawn up by murdered Dutch producer Theo van Gogh and now formally adopted by American actor and director Steve Buscemi.

‘Good catering has an enormous effect on the working atmosphere,’ Dutch producer Gijs van de Westelaken, who produce all Van Gogh’s films, explained to ANP.
The manifesto was presented by Buscemi and Van de Westelaken during a masterclass they gave for 75 East European film students at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
Buscemi directed an English-language version of Van Gogh’s film Interview staring Sienna Miller.
