Brunel books 29% rise in H1 profits

Brunel, the Amsterdam-based temp agency for professionals, on Friday announced half year net profit rose 29% to €15.1m in the first half of 2007 compared to the year-earlier period.
Operational results were up 55% to €22.1m while turnover grew 13% to €274.1m.

The company, which has branches in 24 countries worldwide, said that 25% of its turnover was realised in the Netherlands.
Brunel has raised its forecast for the full year, saying on Friday that operational results are expected to go up 39% to €49m (earlier statements put the figure at €47.5m) with a ‘significant’ increase in turnover.
The company said it is not looking for takeover candidates at present because of the strong growth in the Dutch and German markets.
