Hundreds arrested at dance festivals

Hundreds of people were arrested this weekend during the dance festivals Dance Valley and Black. At Black in the Amsterdam Arena, sniffer dogs were used to detect drugs and around 300 people were questioned by police. Most were released and allowed into the event but 19 people are expected to appear in court today.

Police arrested 50 people at Dance Valley in Spaarnwoude on suspicion of selling fake tickets or drug possession.
Despite the huge number of party-goers – 40,000 at Dance Valley and 23,000 at Black – both events were peaceful, police said.
