Heineken almost doubles profit forecast

Brewing group Heineken is forecasting autonomous full-year profit will rise between 20% and 25% this year, almost double its previous estimate.

The company said on Wednesday it was raising its forecast because sales in a number of regions had grown sharply. In volume terms, Heineken sold 9% more beer over the first six months of the year, largely independent of acquisitions.
