Car sector lobby wants clarity on new rules

Motoring sector lobby group Bovag, has urged environment minister Jacqueline Cramer to come clean on all the new rules she is planning to introduce by August 31. It says the sector faces being snowed under by new regulations.

For example, the minister has suggested making petrol stations responsible for clearing up rubbish within a 100m radius of their operation. This is not only impossible in the cities but could also create dangerous situations, Bovag says.
