ABN Amro expands in Taiwan

ABN Amro is being paid €156m to take over 32 branches of an ailing Taiwanese bank by the Taiwan government, ANP reports on Friday.


The bank, Taitung Business Bank, is under state supervision. ABN Amro already has five branches in Taiwan, which booked a loss of €144m in the first quarter of this year, ANP says.
