MPs have called on education minister Maria van der Hoeven to intervene if the Islamic College of Amsterdam does not sharply improve its exam results. The school, one of two Islamic secondary schools in the Netherlands, is by far the worst-performing school in the country, according to newspaper Trouw’s annual survey.
