Fewer test-tube babies

One in 43 live births in the Netherlands is due to test-tube baby techniques, according to the latest figures from the NVOG (Dutch Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology). .


Last year, just under 15,000 women underwent IVF treatment. In 2003, when IVF was still included in the basic health insurance package, the figure was over 16,000.
